Join the conversation with three of our favorite Made in America manufacturers on Nov. 29 at 2 p.m. EST/11 a.m. PST.
It’s our favorite time of year at the Alliance for American Manufacturing (AAM)! The 2021 Made in America Holiday Gift Guide has been newly unveiled, and holiday shopping has just begun in earnest.
Though malls are only newly bedecked in bells and wreaths, Team AAM has been deeply immersed in holiday shopping for several months now, as we hunted down the best gifts from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. It’s a seriously fun process (financially risky though it is to compile so comprehensive a gift guide when you can’t buy everything)! We’re confident that there’s something for everyone on our list (from pajamas to cooking pans to backpacks).
This year we thought we’d offer a front-row seat to all excitement behind the Made in America Holiday Gift Guide with a special webinar on one of the biggest shopping days of the season — Cyber Monday!
Join us this Monday, Nov. 29, at 2 p.m. EST/11 a.m. PST for a conversation with two of the manufacturers who made it onto this year’s gift guide, Elizabeth Cotton founder Liz Allen and Sukie’s Candle Co. founder Sukie Jefferson, with a special appearance from Mark Andol, the founder and owner of the iconic Made in America Store.
During the chat, Allen, Jefferson and Andol will share why they’ve committed to keeping their products made in the United States and how consumers can best support America’s manufacturers and workers this holiday season.
Both Elizabeth Cotton and Sukie’s Candle Co. are standouts in our gift guide this year and have been featured in some of the world’s most exclusive magazines — both companies have made into Vogue!
For 16 years, Elizabeth Cotton’s 100% Egyptian cotton pajamas have been made in New York’s historic Garment District at the same two family-owned factories. With such close proximity to production, Allen has been able to ensure the highest level of workmanship for her classic pajamas, earning them a place on Oprah’s coveted “O List”.
Black-owned Sukie’s Candle Co.’s non-toxic, vegan candles are made from 100% pure soy wax, derived from American farmers. Channeling years of travel to some of the most beautiful places in the world into aromatic experiences, Jefferson’s initial passion project has quickly grown into a thriving business.
The Made in America Store almost needs no introduction. Since its founding in 2010, its mission to create and save jobs by revitalizing U.S. manufacturing has resonated with many. It’s the subject of the documentary American Made Movie, as well as three episodes of The Manufacturing Report. And, it’s a one-stop-shop for your holiday shopping! The store owns several bricks-and-mortar retail locations but also sells its products from manufacturers nationwide via its website.
As supply chain chaos continues to complicate this year’s holiday shopping season, focus in how your holiday gifting can support your local community. Register to join our Cyber Monday webinar via Zoom.
